Fox Cancels Mad TV

Proving yet again that Fox brass wouldn’t know funny if it bit them on the ass, the network announced plans to cancel the long-running sketch show MAD TV, which was the only reason we ever tuned into Fox to begin with (sorry, American Idol).

This is a huge disappointment, since MAD TV, which lampoons the media and pop culture, has often surpassed Saturday Night Live for biting satire. So I will miss MAD TV, although the show’s David Salzman says they hope to find a home at a cable channel.
