Water World

In case you haven't heard, Nashville is flooding. Mr. Beale and I are very, very fortunate: we live in the middle of a hill, and most of the water is rushing right on by. There's a major storm sewer right behind our house, which in the past I've disparaged as a mosquito breeding ground. Now I am thanking my lucky stars to have it. A couple of blocks away from us some neighbors tried to rescue an elderly woman by way of a kayak. Yeesh.

In the meantime we are holed up, watching the news, helping out neighbors, and monitoring two very small leaks. Here are a few scenes from our Aquapocalypse:

A brand-new waterfall has appeared where water pours off our driveway

Another lovely waterfall on my patio
