Some folks in Murfreesboro, Tennessee rolled out the unwelcome mat for a new mosque:The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on local, state and national law enforcement agencies to investigate an apparently bias-motivated act of vandalism at the site of a proposed Tennessee mosque as a hate crime. Over the weekend, a sign marking the future site of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro was spray-painted with the words “not welcome.”
Don’t know how I missed this story but then, it’s been a busy week and I’ve been focused on other things.
Some things never seem to change, including this penchant for some of my fellow Tennesseans to act like assholes. Probably kids, one might say. Yeah, but that doesn't make it okay.
